Poseidon with a bowl (or Poseidon Fountain) is a bronze sculpture that stands on Götaplatsen in Gothenburg. The statue, which depicts the sea god Poseidon is created by Carl Milles.The fountain was erected in November 20, 1927 an

d the statue was inaugurated in September 1931. The fountain consists of six small sculptures and reliefs with different water creatures. The statue was originally meant to be called Neptune, the Roman name of the god of the sea.
