About this Project

Haurida Church is one of the oldest surviving wooden churches in Sweden. It was built before the Reformation, in the fourtenth century. It replaced an earlier wooden church that stood on the site. The c

hurch has been substantially expanded and adapted over the centuries. It has a copy of the Karl XII Church Bible from 1703. The church lies about twenty five kilometres to the west of Aneby town centre.
