Drev´sold church is the oldest surviving church in Kronoberg county and it was built in the Romanesque style. It can be dated back to around 1170 and served as a parish church until 1868, when the common Drev-Hornaryd church was finished. The church was already in conn
ection with a visitation in 1831 in Sjösås, Trains and Hornaryd parish, is condemned by the diocesan bishop Tegner, who considered it to be unfit. The old church was empty, abandoned and dilapidated for many years before initiate a restoration woken in the early 1900s.
